Elena Vázquez, PhD

Graduate in Biotechnology with specialization in Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy. PhD in Biomedical Research at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2023. In all her thesis years, she specialized in the study of different cellular processes that could contribute to liver regeneration.

She has learned different techniques such as cutting liver tissue in vibratome and subsequent tissue clearing with the CUBIC method, for subsequent visualization in the Confocal Microscope and counting of hepatocytes with endogenous fluorescence. In addition, perfusions were performed through the superior vena cava in mice with endogenous fluorescence for hepatocyte isolation, visualization and counting with Confocal Microscopy LEICA SPE (autonomous handling by the researcher) and Flow Cytometry.

Currently, she is a Researcher at Telara Pharma SL where she is in charge of a Neurodegeneration Project and leading the development of the main experiments in animal models.
